PROGRESSION COURSE
Reading this, you’ll probably have finished my foundation course and understand the basic principles of the golf swing.
As we develop at different rates and the lightbulb is turned on at different times for each of us, I encourage participants of this course to purchase their own golf balls.
This custom (I hope) encourages quality over quantity! With an opportunity for participants to hit as many or a few balls as you’ve identified is appropriate for you to make change and improvement. Again this is different for all and its your job to understand you.
A private session: This course includes a personal evaluation of your uniqueness at the outset. This is a deeper look at your swing, what action to focus on in the next five weeks to create a strong swing habit and a goal for focus. This will include video notes to promote that change.
Week One - Chipping - This shot is used around the greens typically when you are very close within a few yards of green, it is intended to travel through the air over a very short distance and roll the remainder of the way to the hole.
The chip requires good body awareness and posture. We will take a look at how width is required in a basic chip shot, which is beneficial to practice and ingrain in the full swing, this small swing is the perfect way to warm up and perpare for a full swing.
Week Two- How to practice, aiming at a targets, whilst working on your personal session.
Week Three - The transition from the end of the backswing to the strat of the downswing. What the plane should look like.
